Open access policy

AETHERION: International Journal of Society, Education, and Development (IJSED) is a fully open access journal. All articles are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to in full text from the date of publication. Readers need no subscription, registration, or payment. The journal follows the open access definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

No embargo

Articles go online immediately after final acceptance and production, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Self-archiving

Authors are free to deposit the submitted version, the accepted manuscript, and the published version of their article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, and academic networks at any time. Each deposit cites the published article and links to its DOI.

Fees

Reading and downloading articles costs nothing. Authors pay the fees listed on the journal's Fees page: an initial review fee of PHP 500 at submission, an article processing charge (APC) of PHP 3,000 after acceptance, and the optional services listed there. The fees cover editorial handling, similarity checking, DOI registration, copyediting, layout, hosting, and long-term preservation. The journal posts all fees on its website before submission and adds no hidden charges.

Waivers

Editors and editorial board members qualify for a fee waiver. Authors facing financial hardship request a full or partial waiver at submission by writing to the Editor-in-Chief. Waiver requests and payment status remain separate from the peer review process and have no effect on editorial decisions.

Metadata

Article metadata is free to reuse. The journal deposits metadata with Crossref and exposes metadata through the OAI-PMH protocol for harvesting by indexing services and repositories.

Copyright and licensing policy

Copyright

Authors keep the copyright of their articles without restriction. By submitting, authors grant the journal and its publisher, Nexora Interdisciplinary Research and Development, a non-exclusive license to publish the article first, to identify the journal as the original publisher, and to distribute the article in any format and medium.

License

All articles appear under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. Under this license, anyone is free to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the article for any purpose, including commercial use, provided the user credits the authors and the original publication, links to the license, and states any changes.

Display

Each article PDF, article web page, and metadata record shows the copyright holder, the year, the license name, and a link to the license.

Author agreement

Before publication, the corresponding author signs the journal's Author Agreement on behalf of all co-authors. The signature confirms the corresponding author holds the authority to grant the license.

Third-party material

Authors obtain written permission to reuse figures, tables, photographs, instruments, or text owned by others and credit the source in the article. Material under a more restrictive license carries its own credit line and license note. Authors bear the cost of any permission fees.

Reuse by authors

Authors are free to reuse their published article in theses, dissertations, books, teaching materials, and later works, with a citation of the original publication in the journal.
