Aims of the Journal
AETHERION: International Journal of Society, Education, and Development advances scholarship in education, linguistics, including English and Filipino, and the social sciences. It provides a platform for examining how educational practices, language, social relationships, and institutions shape individual and collective development.
The journal aims to:
- Publish rigorous and original scholarship that advances knowledge within and across its core disciplines.
- Connect research with educational practice, public discourse, institutional improvement, and community needs.
- Promote critical understanding of equity, inclusion, cultural and linguistic diversity, and sustainable development.
- Encourage scholarly exchange across national and cultural contexts, including Philippine and Southeast Asian perspectives.
- Support methodological diversity through quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, theoretical, and evidence-synthesis contributions.
The journal welcomes locally grounded studies that demonstrate a clear contribution to wider scholarly understanding. Submissions need not involve international comparisons, but their significance beyond the immediate research setting should be explained.
