Privacy Statement
AETHERION: International Journal of Society, Education, and Development (IJSED) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers and complies with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the rules of the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
Data collected
The journal collects names, academic titles, affiliations, email addresses, telephone numbers, countries, ORCID iDs, manuscripts, review reports, correspondence, and payment records. The website collects technical data such as IP addresses and cookies for security and usage statistics.
Purpose
The journal uses personal data only to manage submissions, peer review, publication, DOI registration, indexing, communication, and payments. The journal does not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing or any purpose unrelated to the journal.
Sharing
The journal shares data only as needed with Crossref, indexing services, preservation services, payment providers, and the website host, Nexora Interdisciplinary Research and Development. Published articles display author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and the corresponding author's email address. Reviewer identities stay confidential.
Security
The journal protects personal data through encrypted connections, password-protected accounts, role-based access, and secure backups.
Retention
The journal keeps account data while the account stays active and keeps editorial records for at least five years after the final decision. Published metadata remains part of the permanent scholarly record.
Rights
Data subjects hold the rights to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking, and to data portability, as well as the right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Requests go to the journal email address listed on the Contact page or to the Data Protection Officer of Central Mindanao Colleges.
