Article Processing Charge (APC)

SFREMS

Submission Fee

No Submission Fee

SFREMS does not charge any fee for manuscript submission.

Authors may submit manuscripts for editorial evaluation and double-blind peer review without payment.

All submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of:

Originality;

Scholarly quality;

Methodological rigor;

Ethical compliance;

Relevance to the journal's aims and scope;

Contribution to knowledge.

Payment is never required for editorial assessment or peer review.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

An Article Processing Charge (APC) becomes payable only after a manuscript has:

Successfully passed the initial editorial screening;

Completed the double-blind peer review process;

Satisfied all revision requirements;

Received formal acceptance for publication.

APC

USD 50.00 per accepted article

The APC supports services including, but not limited to:

Editorial management and manuscript processing;

Double-blind peer review administration;

Professional copyediting and language editing;

Typesetting and layout preparation;

Production of the final publication;

Digital publication and online hosting;

DOI registration (where applicable);

Metadata preparation and indexing support;

Long-term digital archiving and preservation;

Website maintenance;

Permanent open-access availability of published articles.

The official Letter of Acceptance and the complete peer review report will be issued after the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) has been paid. This policy has been implemented to address recurring cases in which manuscripts, although accepted after undergoing the full editorial and peer review process, are subsequently withdrawn or abandoned without proceeding to publication. Such practices consume significant editorial and reviewer resources, delay publication schedules, and reduce the efficiency of the journal's editorial operations. The APC is collected only after a manuscript has been accepted based solely on its scholarly merit and does not influence the editorial decision or the outcome of the peer review process.

Payment Policy

Payment instructions will be provided only after the Editorial Office has issued a formal acceptance decision.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee publication.

Publication remains contingent upon the successful completion of all remaining editorial requirements, including:

Final manuscript revisions;

Copyediting;

Author proofreading and approval;

Compliance with the journal's publication policies and ethical requirements.

No APC is charged for manuscripts that are:

Rejected during editorial screening;

Rejected following peer review;

Withdrawn prior to acceptance.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of financial considerations.

The APC has no influence on:

Editorial evaluation;

Selection of peer reviewers;

Peer review outcomes;

Acceptance or rejection decisions;

Publication scheduling.

Editors, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board evaluate manuscripts solely on their scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

The payment or non-payment of publication fees does not affect the editorial decision-making process.

Fee Transparency

SFREMS is committed to complete transparency regarding publication charges.

Unless otherwise announced, the journal does not charge additional fees for:

Manuscript submission;

Editorial evaluation;

peer review;

Online publication;

Article access or downloading;

Color figures;

Supplementary files;

Should publication fees change in the future, revised fees will be announced on the journal website before implementation and will apply only to new submissions received after the effective date.

Waivers and Discounts

At present, SFREMS does not maintain a formal APC waiver or discount program.

Should a waiver or discount policy be introduced in the future, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and terms will be published transparently on the journal's website.

The availability or approval of any waiver or discount will not influence editorial decisions.

Refund Policy

Because editorial and production services are performed after manuscript acceptance, APC payments are generally non-refundable once production has commenced.

Refund requests arising from exceptional circumstances will be evaluated individually by the Editorial Office in accordance with the journal's financial and publication policies.
