Aims & Scope

The Review of Studies on Criminology, Sociology, and Law (RSCSL) aims to serve as an international forum for the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research that advances knowledge, theory, policy, and professional practice in the fields of criminology, sociology, law, criminal justice, and related interdisciplinary disciplines. The journal is committed to promoting academic excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based policy and practice by publishing original research articles, theoretical and conceptual papers, systematic reviews, case studies, legal analyses, and innovative approaches that address contemporary issues affecting justice systems, legal institutions, law enforcement, governance, public safety, and society.

RSCSL seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and professional practice by encouraging contributions that offer meaningful theoretical insights, methodological advancements, and practical implications for legal scholars, criminologists, sociologists, policymakers, law enforcement professionals, judicial practitioners, educators, and researchers. The journal welcomes studies employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, doctrinal, empirical, comparative, and interdisciplinary approaches that contribute to the advancement of justice, crime prevention, legal reform, social development, human rights, and effective public governance.

Scope of the Journal

The Review of Studies on Criminology, Sociology, and Law (RSCSL) welcomes original manuscripts in, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Encompassing forensic science, forensic psychology, digital forensics, cybercrime, cybersecurity, forensic evidence, intelligence studies, homeland security, disaster risk reduction, crisis management, and public safety.

RSCSL encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates perspectives from criminology, sociology, law, public administration, forensic science, and related disciplines to address complex legal, criminal justice, and societal challenges. The journal particularly welcomes studies with regional, national, and international relevance that contribute to the advancement of scholarly knowledge, support evidence-based policy development, strengthen justice systems, and improve professional practice within the fields of criminology, sociology, and law.
